Last night I viewed the absolutely and completely fantastic movie 'As It Is in Heaven' by Kay Pollack for the second time. For those of you who are not yet familiar with it, is the longest ever running movie in Dendy cinemas in Australia. It is such a profoundly inspirational story that no one in the audience was left untouched and not an eye was dry at the end of the movie. I have never been to a movie in Australia where the entire audience sits spell bound until the end of the credits and then stands up for a standing ovation. Impactful beyond words! Go and see it now if you have chance!
I was reading an interesting article on Generation Y over the weekend in the Sydney Morning Herald in the Careers Section and it is good to see issues such as recruitment, movitation and retention get press coverage, because it illustrates an awareness of some of the challenges in corporate Australia today - but it also goes beyond by uncovering some the larger social trends that lays behind the headlines.
