IQ, EQ, Talent and Whole Mind Communications

17 Mar 2007

Hi fellas,

We are officially in the flow of things. Over the last few weeks, being busy has become being in the flow - things are happening easily when you are focussed - to learn more check out Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's great book - 'Flow: the psychology of Optimal Experience'. By the way how did you like the videos from last week?

If you like Goal-Setting and are focussed on kicking some career goals in the near future, it is a great place to start. If you weren't there live, this is the best substitute (original presentation was delivered at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Sydney).

Last week I presented on the topic of 'What do IQ and EQ have to do with Talent?' @ the Career Group in the Chifley Tower. It was a well attended event, and thfeedback has been very positive so far. To check out the presentation as a PDF, just click here, and enter thinque.com.au as your password.

We also recorded the event, and are hoping to post it live as streaming video on here in the next week or two, as well as via podcast so that you guys can start listening to some of this innovative stuff on your ipods and other mp3 players.

By the way, for those of you who are into frsh, funky and fun personal development, check out the awesome movie 'As It is in Heaven' by Kay Pollack. It still runs on several Dendy cinemas and is a beautiful and inspiring story done in a very classy and emotional way. You can see I am an accomplished movie critic by the quality of my language ;)

Next week I will be in Melbourne delivering a corporate training for a leading interactive advertising agency which will be fun, as well as presenting at an organisation called Network here in Sydney. Both will be great events, and hopefully I will be able to upload some more info from these presentation on the blog shortly. Will be bound to be some funky stuff in there.

Otherwise the biggest news in the last few weeks is the addition of our kitten, Finnegan Miyagi, to the Sorman-Nilsson household. A little champion who I am trying to teach this IQ and EQ stuff to - must say human beings tend to pick it up faster or maybe I just need to practice my behavioural flexibility to teach him not to miow in the kitchen... ;)

All the best, until next week

with funk

Anders
